Workshops

'The Mending'
Sashiko inspired class

We will explore the art of Sashiko — celebrating both repetition and the beauty of imperfection.

I’ll guide you through the process of stitching on repurposed vintage textiles such as obi, boro, & kimono. These pieces, once worn & loved, take on new life through your thoughtful stitching.

By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with your own handmade creation—crafted with care, patience, and an understanding of how the simple act of stitching can bring both beauty and function to repurposed textiles.

This workshop will deepen your connection to the rhythmic flow of Sashiko and the mindful art of transforming fabric.

'Let it Bloom'

You will be able to embellish the garment if you choose,  exploring the use of several, decorative techniques.

The classic Bomber jacket has been a mainstay of mine over the years, let's make one together!

Choose from my extensive, textile collection.

From  plain silks, woven, printed or embroidered pieces.

I'll guide you through the many options and possible treatments you will add to the cloth. Visit the Gallery page for inspiration.

 'Lost in the Blue'
Denim & Cyanotype class

The enduring appeal of denim worn over time.

The beautiful blues and hues, revitalised through the exposure of botanicals to the sun, using the process of cyanotype printing.

Drawn to nature, we will wander and collect the seasons offerings to create your unique, cyanotype denim piece.

The accepting of  the 'letting go' of certainty and being open to surprise and the mystery of the sun and cyanotypes.

You will create your own 'take-home' piece by the end of the workshop.
