Antique Silk Obi in black, with hand painted Shi Shi Dogs. Traditional in Japanese culture, placed in pairs to act as guardian talismans, warding off evil spirits and bringing good fortune. They are mythical, half-lion/half-dog creatures. 
I have added grid sashiko in indigo on the silk to add durability. The obi has a lovely worn area (see in the photos) signifying the authenticity of its age and prolonging its life in this reuse, the front of this handcrafted, one off Bomber.
Italian wool in dark Indigo completes the garment.
